    β-CGRP, human ,a 37-amino acid peptide,is the beta form of Calcitonin-gene-related peptide (β-CGRP), involved extensively in regulation of the cardiovascular and nervous systems. β-CGRP contains a disulphide bridge at the N-terminus, a C-terminal phenylalanine amide important for immune recognition, and an a-helix between residues 8 and 18.(In Vitro):β-CGRP, human is one of calcitonin peptides, acts via complex of calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) and receptor-activity-modifying protein (RAMP), with IC50s of 1 nM in both SK-N-MC and Swiss 3T3 cells express CRLR and RAMP1, and 130 nM and 300 nM in NG108-15 and HEK293T cells expressing CRLR and RAMP2. CGRP is a potent vasodilator and also shows pro- and -anti-inflammatory activity.
